Birthday Eve Feasting

Today is my birthday! Woo hoo! If you aren’t a regular reader of Lloyd and Lauren’s website, check it out today. They got a bunch of people to wish me a happy birthday. It’s awesome! Click HERE.

I worked at school yesterday, and when I came home, I was really hungry. I had stopped at the grocery store and gotten some chicken. I had decided I was going to fry chicken and make mashed potatoes and white gravy.

It came out pretty good. I’m not sure I breaded the chicken correctly. I just used flour, salt, and pepper. It seems like there was supposed to be two bowls I dipped the chicken in, but I had no idea what the other bowl was supposed to have in it. The chicken was still tasty. The gravy was quite successful too.

I was lazy, and bought pre-made mashed potatoes.

After dinner, I made some chocolate chip cookie dough, and had a big bowl of it. Mmmm…

This was probably too much, but it was so good...

I watched the Super Bowl until halftime, then had to go to bed. I was sleepy. The only commercial I can remember is the one where Marilyn Monroe changes into Willem DaFoe.

You keep eatin’ like that (fried foods, raw dough…) and this may be among your final birthdays, young man! But seriously, folks: many, many more, Brad.

….and I use fake buttermilk (1 capful vinegar in milk; let sit a while) instead of egg, but to each his own.

Your feast looks fantastic, except for the raw cookie dough. *shudder* Bake it for 10 minutes and I’ll gladly have some. 🙂
