Uniform Upgrade

Yesterday was the first day of classes. It felt good to be wearing my teacher uniform again. It felt really good to be with the kids again. Before yesterday, my work was kind of grumbly and difficult. Now I’m full of energy. Woo hoo!

I wore an addition to my teacher uniform – a cross I got from my dad. His friend made it years ago out of horseshoe nails. My dad wore it constantly. I’ve decided to wear it while I’m at school as part of my teacher uniform.

I thought this Hawaiian tie was appropriate for the summer temperatures we're having.

One of the kids noticed it yesterday and said: “Mr. Royuk has chains!” I was in the middle of talking about something else, so I didn’t explain my new accessory. I’ll have other opportunities to talk about it I’m sure.

I think you are the lucky one to have gotten your dads cross!! I always loved it and noticed him wearing it. How great that you have it and can wear it everyday, kind of like a comforting shield. OH and nice tie too!! Good reasoning on choosing! I love to make things have meaning when they really don’t have too. ha
