The Heat is On

I have switched on my boiler at home. I was delaying it as long as I could, but there have been a stretch of cold days lately that have made it just too cold in the house for space heaters only.

I’m always a little nervous that something will go wrong after the boiler has been sitting idle. Fortunately, it started right up. The circulator is showing its age though. I think I might need to replace it soon.

My boiler is connected to my hot water heater somehow, so now my hot water is rocket hot. I have to remember that when washing dishes so I don’t boil my skin off.

Turning the faucet to hot-only is near boiling temperature.

Holy cow! That water is hot! My parents have hot-water heat and it was fantastically hot, too. You could make tea with water straight from the tap.

    Enjoy your toasty house. 🙂
