White Board Preferences

Using a white board regularly was new to me three years ago. Now, I’ve developed some opinions about usage and brands and such.

My favorite brand is Expo. They make several different products. I have sometimes bought ‘low odor’ because it was a nicer color selection, but I definitely prefer their regular markers. Yesterday, I was using a ‘low odor’ marker, and it left a weird shadow. The marker ink was green, but when I erased, the ghost was orange. Peculiar.

For erasing, I use a microfiber cloth. The white board eraser thingies are awful.

For cleaning, I use rubbing alcohol. It’s way cheaper than the tiny bottles of cleaner, and it leaves the board sparkling white.

    Good to know! Thanks.

Yes, that is good to know. We just have some little metal white boards and use a clean tissue to clean up.

There is an unmounted whiteboard in the Concordia classroom at the center. It’s leaning against the wall with the white part facing in. I tried to move it around myself and couldn’t even budge it. Those things are heavy.

Our school has an aerosol can of whiteboard cleaner that is fantastic. I don’t have any idea what is in it, but it’s probably causes cancer. It’s that good.

Do You Have Any “Smart” Boards??
