A Full Snow Day

Yesterday began with a late start for school. I went to school as usual so I could get some work done before school started. The snow on my truck had cemented into a solid mass that I had to chip away at. It took thirty minutes. Ugh.

I broke two ice scrapers. The piece of wood was there if I broke the third scraper.

After I arrived at school, it was announced that school was canceled. There had been a lot of meltage, and a lot of refreezing. It was probably only a late-start kind of day, but I think the decider people for Baltimore County wanted to just give everyone another snow day. I’m glad they did. I got completely caught up at school.

I grade at student desks because my teacher desk has my distracting computer on it.

After I finished at school, I left for home. I stopped at the mall on the way, thinking it might be fun to walk around. My heart wasn’t in it, so after some lunch at the food court, I continued home. I did actually do a few phone-call type things at home, but mostly I just relaxed. God bless snow days.

This post was a roller-coaster of emotions – the angst of getting your truck free, the joy of school being cancelled, the sorrow of the mall visit.

    Enjoy your today! 🙂
