Some Firsts

Yesterday after church, I stuck around and waited for the eighth grade graduation service. It was nice. At the reception afterward, I experienced a milestone: my first inter-generational teacher experience. One of the eighth grader’s aunts came up to me and told me I taught her at my old school. I’ve taught two generations of their family. Wow!

After graduation, I met up my brother and his family and we went out for crabs. We went to a place I had never been because I had a gift certificate I could use there. It was awesome – a typical Baltimore crab restaurant. What was not typical was the giant crab over the doorway. I love it!

The oleanders by the door were nice beachy touch.

I think they had the biggest crabs I’ve ever eaten. They were “super-colossal” size. They were heavy and delicious.

Mmm... salty...

The Freys used to visit Crab quarters often and they always had full, heavy crabs there. What did the clan think of the whole experience?

They had fun. They were quite willing to taste new things. They especially liked the cream of crab soup.

Did it have a different name previously?
