Was it just my second day in Maui yesterday? It feels longer. In a good way.
I woke up kind of early because I was still on mainland-time-zone time. I scouted the internet for more apartments. I had two appointments set up. At 7am, I got a phone call from a third person I had left a message with a couple of days ago. I set an appointment for today. I might not go. Both of the apartments yesterday were cheaper, and both had everything I want. Today I find out if my application for my first choice is accepted.
Anyway, in the morning, I chatted with my principal David and his wife Barb over some breakfast fruit, then we went swimming. In the ocean. Which is right across the street from their apartment. It was awesome.
I did my apartment viewings, which were both in Kihei Villages, which was were I lived last time I was in Maui. I like those condos. They are in a great location, and they are all two bedroom (so I can host visitors!) The two I looked at yesterday were priced well too.
In the afternoon, all the new teachers to my school got together. The condo complex where David and Barb live has a Mai Tai party every Wednesday. They give out free Mai Tais, and they have hula dancers who give a short hula lesson. We joined in.
Ahh… Beach Brad looks like a happy Brad. In fact, everyone there seems pretty content. I’m glad the new teachers got together!
Someone called you at 7 a.m.? That seems kind of early for a phone call.
Excellent!
(I was going to say Wow!…but I said that yesterday. Then I realized most of my thoughts & comments are Wow! since you began this journey)
Awesome day! I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good Mai Tai! Has to be made right. How was yours? Cheers to you!!
