Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Apartment? Check.

My new apartment is in the same condo complex as the apartment I stayed in in 2013. I like the location. It’s central to Maui, not far from school, and close to the beach.

This unit is a mirror image of the one I lived in in 2013. I like the layout. Two bedrooms, one and a half baths. Second floor, with a nice lanai that is surrounded by palm leaves. My downstairs neighbor is a gardener! The yard is beautiful! I saw her today, but didn’t introduce myself. I only said “hi”. Dang it! (She just looked so much in a hurry I didn’t want to slow her down.)

Here are some shots of the inside of the apartment:

I moved my stuff into my new apartment yesterday. It was great forced exercise, but I was tired afterward. Whew! By the end of the carrying, I was too tired to unpack anything. Plus, I had to get the rental truck back to the place. I took the truck back, started walking to David and Barbara’s. Thought better of it, and took an Uber. By the time I got back to their place, I was done for. I took a nap. A quick swim in the evening, and early to my room for some relaxing time before sleep, and the day was over.

My co-worker Peter helped me carry the mattress.

Is that a window air conditioner? Do you need AC much or does the breeze keep you comfortable?

It’s pretty warm in my apartment. The air conditioner is a welcome presence.

Hooray! One step closer! Your stuff is now safely in your new home, and you’re living by a gardener? Just show her all those pots and you’ll be friends for life. 😉

    Enjoy your Saturday!

(Insert graphic of party animals here) Yippee!! Congratulations on landing this unit and its location (including the nice gardener neighbor) – now once your truck arrives you won’t have to Uber or walk until you collapse any more. Ready for school planning! (I can take sinful pleasure in saying that as this will be the first fall I do not have to do anything like that…)

How exciting! Looks bright and cheery, how fun to “nest” in! Gardner downstairs? What a perk!
