Stuff Submitted

Gus is one step closer to living in Maui. Yesterday I mailed the papers that will get him a permit to travel. After the slow wheels of the government bureaucracy grind, the paper will be sent to Denis, who will bring Gus to Maui during the second week of October. That is my Fall Break at school. A week off to help acclimate Gus to his new home and to do some fun Maui things with Denis.

The process is bewildering and expensive. I hope everything works out alright.

I was really nervous that I forgot something, but the animal hospital people helped talk me through it. I’m pretty confident I’ve submitted everything.

Yay! That list seems extensive. They must really, really, really worry about rabies there, and I guess for good reason. A rampant case of rabies on an island could probably cause a zombie outbreak.

YEA! This is exciting news – not only will you get to see your housemate again before the next millennium but Gus will soon be a Hawaiian resident with you. (Wonder how he’ll take to grass skirts, leis, and hula lessons?) I know he’ll love the heat. I am so glad for you all. YEA (again)!

OH I’m so excited!!! I’ve been wondering if you had him yet. Fingers crossed over here and prayers for a fun delivery! Go Gus!!!! He’ll be glad you don’t have AC all the time! He’ll be lounged out in a “kitty” pool in your living room, having a glass of Inferno when you get home from school. LOL
