My only air conditioner in my apartment is in the living room. I’ve been running it every night, because Kihei is one of the hotter spots on Maui, and September is one of the hotter months on Maui. The air conditioner does a good job cooling my apartment, but it’s kind of loud. I can’t really hear the TV unless I turn the volume up to unreasonable levels.

Several weeks ago, in a particularly strong fit of frustration, I turned on closed captioning. It was great! I could tell what everyone was saying! It’s been on ever since.

I watched a little “Clash of the Titans” when I got home last night. It was the newer one.

Zeus. Their common enemy is Zeus.

Yes! I love closed captioning! In addition to helping you hear over loud noises, you can be smug when someone asks, “What did you do last night?” “A little reading.”

Huge fan of words on the screen. I wish they had them at the movies.

One time ours got turned onto the setting for the blind I guess??? I wasn’t looking at the tv, was in the kitchen, but noticed that everything was being described? I finally looked and it was NOT part of the show…….everything that was happening was being told about…….”jim is looking angrily at joe”…..”sarah walks into the room holding a broom and has a scowl on her face” LOL Hey, I knew what was going on while cooking!
