Cleaner

I finally got some stain remover yesterday. I’ve needed it for a while. One of my shirts has a baked-in stain on it. I haven’t worn it even once this school year! What put me over the edge though, was that two pairs of shorts also have stains too. Now I had THREE reasons to get stain remover.

I stopped at the drug store to get something, and was excited to see that Shout brand stain remover was on sale! Woo hoo! But then I saw that the Shout was all gone. Dang. I got another brand called Zout and soaked the stains. `

It worked with the shorts, but not with the shirt. Ah well… that’s a 66% success rate. That’s pretty good.

Dang. Too bad they don’t make a white Sharpie. That’s my stain fighter. (However, people must wonder why most of my clothes have black spots….)

In all seriousness, are you willing to experiment with a dab of bleach?

I’m scared of bleach. Reassure me that I can use it, AND it won’t kill me, please.

Your Grandmother used to use a bar of Lava soap for stains (especially around the collar)…surely they have Lava soap in Maui!?

Oxiclean and Simple Green are my go to stain removers. Just spray it on and scrub with a toothbrush, then let it sit. A weak bleach solution and sunshine might also work. You could also try white vinegar and sunshine. Good luck!
