Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Lahaina Day

Denis woke up super-early yesterday morning and went jogging, then worked on his online classes.

I slept in.

We decided on Lahaina for our first day of sight-seeing. I wanted to check out a furniture store there, and he was curious about Front Street. I parked kind of far away from the touristy part of Front Street, so we ended up walking a long way. It was good exercise though, so we just went with it.

On the way there.

On the way there.

On the way back.

On the way back.

I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of the banyan tree. Or of the delicious fish we had for lunch. Or of our visit to Hilo Hattie’s, where I couldn’t decide on which aloha shirt to buy (People in Hawaii call “Hawaiian shirts” “aloha shirts”. Or maybe I should say: People on the mainland call “aloha shirts” “Hawaiian shirts”.)

When we got back to my apartment, it was late afternoon. We decided to just take it easy for the evening. Gus seems to be settling in. He was taking it easy too.

He was relaxing comfortably on the 'couch'.

Now that’s a Hawaii day. When you said that Denis woke up super-early, I bet he woke up on his own time, huh? 😀

I ate lunch with the kindergarten teacher at your school today. She’s delightful!
