As the kids wait for their rides after school, they like to throw bits of plants at each other. Some of their favorite bits to throw are unopened hibiscus flower buds.
At first I was shocked, but i guess I can understand that these aren’t some exotic hot house flowers for the kids here – they’re just flowers off of some bushes that everybody grows in their yard.
And as I’ve stood out by the hibiscus bushes day after day, I’ve noticed how quickly new flower buds grow.
Maybe they really ARE good bits of plants to throw at each other.
Readily available ammunition from nature…. So, this is a snowball fight for them, yes?
(That is a great photo, by the way.)
They probably hurt less than acorns or pine cones. Some things are universal I guess 🙂
