Sitter and Society

I meant to go to school yesterday and get some paperwork done. Instead I stayed home and did a lot of straightening up and cleaning. It felt great. My apartment is looking better than it has since July.

While I was at home, I arranged a meeting with the person who will be cat-sitting Gus while I am in Nebraska. She’s a travel nurse who is staying in Maui for six or nine months (or something… I can’t remember). And she happens to be the daughter of the headmaster of the high school I went to. Ha! She knows my niece Alicia. She will take good care of Gus.

While cleaning, I came across some medicine Gus got on his vet visit. I didn’t end up using it, and wondered if the Humane Society could use it. I drive past the Humane Society every day, but have never stopped there. It was nice to have a reason to visit. And they could use Gus’ medicine! Yay!

This isnt the angle I usually see it from, but this was a safer place to take a picture than the highway.

Good for you! I think that was a day well-spent.

I’m glad someone can take care of Gus. Is he better now? I hope those spots have gone away. 🙂
