A Long Day

Yesterday afternoon was weird: I had my lessons ready for the next day, I had no grading, and the long-term stuff was far enough off that I wasn’t stressing about it. So after school, I… went home?

The sun wasn’t anywhere near setting when I got home. I ate something, then watched a little TV, and it STILL wasn’t dark. I decided I would read out on my lanai for a little bit. I got some cookies and milk, and put my feet up to read. It was delightful. And weird.

My camera lens was dirty. It makes the sun look like it’s glaring. It was actually quite nice out.

Yeah. I think there are people who do that every day. How can they stand it? I left early because we were so low and was home at 5. It was odd having dinner in my belly by 6……

By the way, your lanai is cool! 🙂

Just wait until retirement! Practice now to get the fullest enjoyment out of it you can. ‘Course, I am typing this during a lunch break at the school I help at this year, so even semi-retirement can look like that. Heck, anything centering around milk and cookies is good, right?

How great for you to get to sit and read on your Lanai! So, is it because you’re in Hawaii that it’s NOT a patio?
