A Dinner

Last night I went to David and Barbara’s house for dinner. I thought it was just them and me. When I got there, I found out they had invited the administrative assistant Sylvia and her husband. They had also run into Josh and his family at Costco and invited them.

I got lost in their neighborhood and while looking for their house, I ran into Peter. He had come to talk with David about something and to see their new house. What an interesting coincidence! While we were all chatting, Maile stopped by. She brought a covered dish with her.

Wait a minute… all these co-workers and friends gathering coincidentally at the same time… this wasn’t a dinner with David and Barbara… This was a birthday party! Ha! I was completely fooled!

What a fun time! The dinner was amazing. David made prime rib. It was so delicious!

There was so much laughing and talking! It was awesome!

I got some really great birthday gifts… aloha shirts, a plant, and Superman! Diane asked Lauren for some ideas. Lauren suggested Superman. Right on, Lauren! I love it! Thanks, Diane!

I will find a prominent place for this Superman in my apartment.
