A Day of Views

Yesterday after church, we went to the golf course for the brunch buffet. My mom had been there in 2013, and wanted to go back. It was delicious. It also has a gorgeous view of the valley and Haleakala.

So beautiful.

So beautiful.

After napping because of all the food we ate, we went to Ed and Jo’s hotel. It’s giant and beautiful.

There were many waterfalls.

There were many waterfalls.

We walked the grounds a little bit, but didn’t stay outside because it was raining. We got drinks at a bar whose walls were made completely of glass. The view of the ocean was amazing.

Dark and stormy.

Dark and stormy.

In the evening we tried to find a place to eat, but the restaurants all had long waits. We went to a salad place and all got clam chowder. It was an unexpected end to the evening, but actually kind of nice – just a bunch of friends gathered at an informal restaurant enjoying each other’s company.

I like the ending to that day – it seems just right and cozy. The rest of your day, though? Opulence central! Even your rainstorms are glamorous!

My sister’s boyfriend is in Honolulu. He sent photos of a little flooding there. Are you also getting that or is your island sloped more? (Swoop)

Did you plan your coordinated outfits? Makes for a great picture!

The previous day they were coordinated too! I love it!!

I meant the previous picture you posted of you & your mom.

Ha! We did not even plan our dress alike look!

Both the hotel and especially the glass-wall bar look very familiar. Can I ask locations? I’m 99% sure I’ve been to that bar/restaurant. Gotta test the ol’ memory.

It was one of the bars at the Grand Wailea. I can’t remember the particular name. That place is huge. I know there are at least two different bars there. Three, including the one you can swim up to in the swimming pool.

Sounds a little like heaven. I looked it up and it’s not the same place. Oh well.
