Almost every Sunday, I stay after church and work in my room. On the way home, I stop at the grocery store. There is a checker I like who works on Sundays. I always get in her line.
She is always joking and being facetious, but is also always so nice. She helps people get discounts, and points out new coupons that she hands over after the checkout.
Yesterday, she was helping someone redeem a coupon and it was taking a while. She saw me waiting and said: “I’ll be right with you. If I feel like it.” and then she winked. Ha! Actually, I didn’t mind waiting at all. I was done working for the day, and was on my way home. Yay!
I don’t have a picture of the checker, but I do have a picture of me doing some motions to a song with little kids in church yesterday.
Friendly checkers are wonderful. Lloyd’s favorite checker – Shirley – retired a couple of months ago and he is very sad about it. I think they were having an affair. 😉
