Spring Ahead

Many plumeria trees on Maui look like this now:

The leaves fell off a while ago. The branches have been bare. But there are flowers starting to open. It’s like spring is happening! I have been curious if there were cycles of seasons here. Here is at least one signal.

I know that it will also soon be time to travel upcountry to see the jacaranda trees. They will be smothered with purple flowers and look like something from a Dr. Seuss book. I’ll definitely have to remember to check them out.

Hey! Dr. Seuss’ birthday is on Friday. Maybe that’s how your seasons run – according to famous authors. šŸ™‚

Since we are on the subject of Dr. Seuss, did you know his name is actually pronounced Zoyce? It is the most mispronounced author’s name ever… Yeah, I’ll still probably pronounce it incorrectly cuz no one will know who I am talking about if I don’t.

We’re doing Dr. ZOYCE all week. I’m working desperately to keep up on the blog about it, though. This act of blogging daily is wearing me out. Kudos to you and Lauren for keeping it up on a consistent, regular basis.
