Honolulu Day One

We made it safely to Oahu yesterday morning. Our first stop was breakfast, then we went to a Lutheran church in Honolulu for the music festival rehearsal.

There are several schools participating. I thought it was fun that the kids were all wearing their school uniform shirts and that they were different colors.

The stained glass over the entrance to the sanctuary intrigued me. What is the far right panel? Is that Hebrew?

After rehearsal, we went to the mall, where the kids spent money like water and ate sugar for lunch.

In the evening, we had dinner together, then went ice skating. It was fun. I hadn’t been in a long time. My legs are sore.

I think that is algebra or maybe geometry. I see PI.

    It sure looks like Hebrew.

And ice skating in Hawaii? I bet the kids loved it!

Did you identify any future winter olympians? Go, USA!

They are so blessed to have an opportunity like this! Your schools are amazing!
