Concert Day

Yesterday we had all day free until the evening concert. We spent most of the day at a water park. I haven’t been to a water park for ages. It was awesome!

My favorite slide was four side-by-side chutes you could “race” on. Andrea and I almost had the thing to ourselves in the morning, and we went on it a bunch of times.

After the water park, we went out to eat. We arrived too early at the restaurant, so we wasted some time outside before we went in. One of the parents caught me doing the Crane Technique.

The concert was great. It was so cool to hear a mass band and choir. Four Lutheran schools! It was in an auditorium and was attended by hundreds of parents.

Our flight touched down at 10:30pm. There was a little turbulence. I may or may not have made some whimpering noises while sitting next to a school parent.

It’s good to be home 🙂

What a jam-packed day! That’s a vacation’s worth of stuff! I hope you have enough time to recover. 🙂

Your writing always brings a smile to my face, sir. “I may or may not have…” Ha! Just be glad you weren’t on that Southwest flight trying to land at Dulles the other day – turbulence (due to the raging Nor’Easter here) so bad nearly everybody was using their air sickness bags…for far too long. I’d probably have had to open a door and leave early, with or without a parachute.

This group concert sounded like a very uplifting event – so glad you and your students got to attend it, even though it meant two plane rides for you within only a few days. Enjoy terra firma now.

I LOVE the crane imitation!!! You need to put that on your Christmas card this year! LOL
