Ack! I forgot to post! I felt super sick yesterday. If I could have just laid on the classroom floor, I would have. It was the second-to-last day of school, so I couldn’t miss. Right after school was out, I went home to lie on the couch. I went to bed as soon as it was dark. I sweat a lot last night. I will need to wash my sheets.
I feel a little better today. It’s only a half day, so it should be easier.
We’ve been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack a lot. Maybe too much. I hear sick and immediately go to
“Two years later, see Alex and his mother bed-ridden
Half-dead sittin’ in their own sick, the scent thick.”
whisper: “And Alex got better but his mother went quick.”
Keep getting better, Brad.
Drat! Sick at the end of school?!! I am so, so sorry. This is the end of they year, yes? It only almost killed you?
Those little walking petri dishes will do it every time! I got my 4 weeks of allergy/bronchitis/runny nose (went through 4 boxes of Kleenex)/cough out of the way this spring (pollen here was AWFUL this year – “worst season ever” – they say that each year, so by next year everyone will need face masks here) but do accredit much of that to the lovely walking germ incubators with whom I deal two or more days each week. Summer break began for me last Thursday, so no more regular exposure to who-knows-what-you’re-carrying, child! We’re praying your systems is clearing up by now and you’ll have a germ-free summer now.
