A while back, I was excited to see rex begonias for sale here. I wasn’t interested in the particular varieties they offered, but when I went back yesterday to look, I saw that they hand new varieties. Nice!
Lots of reds and silvers.
I did end up getting one. The variety is called ‘Fire Woman’. It has the shimmery sheen that I like, but even more interesting, it has gigantic leaves. I also like that it has red hairy stems. It’s kind of freaky.
The shimmering is hard to get a picture of.
Well, if they’ve found a way to combine fire and flowers, then gardening just got much more appealing.
