Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Big Ones

I have been seeing more cockroaches lately, and not just the small ones – they’ve been the full-on big cockroaches that like warm weather climates.

A couple have been in my classroom, but whatever extermination treatment my room has is working. They’re dead when I see them.

I’ve been discreetly disposing of them, but still, their size really amazes me.

I had to use TWO quarters for scale.

    Good. Lord.

    Um.

    I think

    that perhaps

…. dang. My comment window is just getting bigger. I was hoping it would push that monster off the screen. *scrolling* There we go.

Holy Moly! I think that you might have to start carrying around a sword or something! Sooo many weird critters!!!!

Memories on New Orleans! That’s why you have a monthly appointment with an exterminator!

My immediate thought upon seeing their size? “Coat them in chocolate and you’ll have a high-protein snack…so long as you don’t have to look at them when chewing.” (I cannot eat soft-shelled crab sandwiches for that reason. Teensy legs hanging out from between two slices of bread give me, as you all say, the jibblies.)
