Storm Supplies

There is a tropical storm passing over Maui right now. It started last night, and is going through the morning. When Hurricane Lane was here, it didn’t really hit… it passed by. Olivia is not a hurricane (it’s only a tropical storm), but it’s making a direct it.

It’s hard to tell what this is going to be like. I have water and food ready again. And candles, if the electricity goes out. School has been canceled for today.

I did one last stop at the grocery store after school. My eye fell upon something that disturbed me a little:

A whole chicken in a can? That is disturbing for many reasons. I almost bought one just to see what it looked like, but I don’t think I want to know.

Ha! Wasn’t that on an episode of M*A*S*H? I think Charles and Hot Lips shared a canned bird. It’s how I learned the word ‘botulism’.

You should set that can out in the parking lot as a warning to all the wild chickens so they’ll … wait. Your chickens are pretty nice, aren’t they?

    Stay safe!

This disturbs you but Spam doesn’t?

I can’t imagine a whole chicken fitting into a can. So I had to look it up. Now I feel sick. Thank you. Gotta give it to Sweet Sue for finding a purpose for all those chicken runts.

That doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would. Two reflections on that video:
      1) I don’t know what “too salty” could possibly mean. That’s like when I hear: “Too sweet” – I understand what each of those words mean, but when you put them together, all you get is nonsense.
      2) He scraped a metal fork across a non-stick baking pan. Awful.

Thank you for the out-loud chuckles I got from this thread, team Royuk.

No go make yourself a SPAM-wich or something.
