Well, I didn’t see much action from Tropical Storm Olivia yesterday. It’s good, because that means less damage and injury. In fact, I didn’t hear about any injuries. There was some flooding and road closures on the rainy side of the island, but I didn’t see anything else.
I did go out to the beach, wondering what the surf was like. The ocean was choppy, and the clouds were heavy, but There was no rain, and only a little wind.
The weirdest thing I saw was when I was finished with my beach walk. On the way back to my apartment, I passed the ABC store, and it was closed. Closed! I’ve never seen that before. It was so weird.
So is that a convenience store? (Google search) Ah, yes, I see that you can get all your Aloha needs met there – sunscreen, chocolate, bath stuff, ladies’s apparel. Do I spy a lady above the phone booth looking in astonishment? That store ruined her vacation.
Happy Normal Day! I’m glad it wasn’t a huge issue. 🙂
Thank you, Lauren, for clearing up why there was a even need for a store that sold alphabet letters, open 24 hours or not.
I got it now.
