Cat Chat

My downstairs neighbor said he’s been feeding a grey cat. I think it was the one who came to my front door. I had the main door open, but the screed door closed. The cat meowed a little, and Gus came running.

I haven’t seen Gus interact with another cat. I thought maybe he’d just be curious and sniff a little. Instead, he made some weird meowing noises. At first, I thought maybe he was just communicating in some way I’ve never heard before. But then he hissed, and I realized he was upset.

I tried to calm him down, but he wasn’t having it. The grey cat hung around for a little while, then gave up.

I guess Gus isn’t into making friends with any non-humans.

Awww…. it’s nice to know that Gus has some defense mechanisms. Poor Gus – no one wants to be seen when they’re naked.

Does your screen door not go all the way to the ground? If so, it’s just good for keeping out cats.
