My principal has a small collection of orchids. They grow very well here. One of his orchids grew a side-shoot, and he asked if I wanted it. Yes! Yes, I did.
It’s a dendrobium orchid. I’ve never grown one of those, so I’m excited to see what it’s like.

Orchid cuttings often take a while to bloom. I’ll be curious to see how this one develops.
The pot is pretty striking, I must say. That baby plant is so little and cute. However if I saw it in someone’s garden and was asked to weed, I would pull it. How do you gardeners keep it all straight?
