My cousin Mike and his wife are coming to visit in January. We’ve been texting back and forth a little. Today, he asked me what the weather’s been like in Maui. Then he sent me this picture:
It looks a little cold.
Hehe… I didn’t realize it’s been so cold in Nebraska. It’s just perpetually warm here. In fact, today it was hot. I sent him back a picture from outside of my classroom
It was 81 degrees out, but felt like 90.
…and in local news: first freeze of the season expected tonight in good ol’ B’more. Thinking we might have a cold and snowy winter again this year. Let us know if you ever get homesick for that mystical season called Winter and we’ll dry-ice-pack you some snowballs or … well … maybe just send the dry ice?
It’s like some sort of science fiction story – like we live on different planets. I went to Lincoln last night and the store was playing Christmas music. Normally that would make me mad, since it’s so early, but it feels pretty appropriate right now.
