Frozen Pepsi

Happy Birthday, Lloyd! Woo hoo! I hope you have a fun Wednesday Birthday!

I went looking back in my memory archive to see if I’d written about this, and I didn’t see anything. I don’t know how it’s possible I’ve never mentioned this:

When I was a kid, I liked to put a little Pepsi into a plastic cup (tough plastic like Tupperwear or something), then freeze it solid, then chip it out with a fork and eat it.

In my adult life, I go in and out of periods of time where I do it again. I’m currently in a period of doing it. I have two small plastic cups from a local festival, and I keep them constantly rotating in and out of the freezer.

The frozen Pepsi is a nice treat, because it only ends up being a little more than a cup or so, and since it’s frozen, it takes me a long time to eat it. Fewer calories? Longer engagement time? Sweet tooth satisfied? Perfect!

The cups are temperature sensitive. They go from yellow to green when they get cold.

Are you and Lloyd related? There is always a cup of frozen cola in our freezer. Lloyd prefers the spoon method, though. scrape scrape scrape “Turn up the t.v., would you?” scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape

A local town has BerryPepper Days each summer. They put strawberries in the bottom of big styrofoam cups and then fill it with Dr. Pepper. You get to scrape out the frozen pop and then eat the berries at the bottom. I don’t really care for it, but the locals sure do love it.

Big fan of doing this in the summer with Fresca. Super refreshing and crisp.
