Yesterday during math class, some girls came to the door and gave me a small loaf pan that had some kind of sweet something in it. They said it was because of the Christmas party. I didn’t quite understand what they meant, but I try never to turn down food. I thought it must be banana bread, but it smelled like chocolate. I think it’s a brownie.
I would have opened it and shared it at snack time, but one of the seventh graders was having his birthday yesterday and brought donuts. So… much… sugar…
Ah, the season of sugary snacks. It’s good to see that even people in warm climates carbo-load during Christmas!
Krispy Kreme!!!!!!
What did the loaf turn out to really be? Did you have any before you flew back to Seward, or are you leaving that for a reward when you return to the Islands?
I opened it the next day, and we ate it at snack time. It was a brownie. So interesting. I’ve never had a brownie in mini-loaf form before.
