Frost and Food

In the morning yesterday, while I was getting ready for church, I fixed myself some Carnation breakfast drink. I have left dishes by the sink at Lloyd and Lauren’s. I always do that at home, because if I’m just stirring a drink with a spoon, why do I need to send it through the whole wash process? Why not just rinse and re-use?

So next to their sink is a glass, a bowl, and a spoon that I’ve used for my food. And a spoon I’ve used for the cat food. Guess which one I used for stirring my drink yesterday? Oh well… at least it wasn’t something poisonous – it was just cat food.

The cat food spoon was closer to me. I think that was the source of the error.

When I got outside, something exciting had happened: there was frost on the windshield! I had borrowed my mom’s car, and before picking her up for church, I would need to scrape the ice off the windows. Yay!

It wasnt much, but it was still exciting

The service at church was a “Lessons and Carols” service. We sang a TON of songs. It was awesome. Brent and I wore the exact same tie. I got mine from a student. He got his on sale after Christmas. We were laughing a lot about it.

After church, I went over to my mom’s house for Christmas dinner. Her house was warm and smelled like turkey. Mmm…

Harold and Beth’s were there. So were Sam and Rachel’s. We ate and talked and ate again. I fell asleep for a little while. Then we talked more and ate more. It was a great Christmas Day.

How delightful! The Royuk children look pretty dang festive, I must say! I am so glad that you had a nice Christmas, and that you find the bright side in those weird things life throws at us. 🙂

While I appreciate that you enjoyed the ice scraping, as one who scraps daily, it’s highly overrated.
