Yesterday was my family’s last day in Maui.
In the morning, my mom and I went to the swap meet. Mike and Sandra walked the beach.
In the afternoon, we went to Lahaina. We walked around a bit, then took a whale-watching boat ride. I did go back and look in my memory archive to read about my last experience.
I don’t remember how many whales I saw that first time. This time, it felt like we saw a lot of whales, but didn’t see big parts of their bodies. We saw some backs and tails, but no full breaches.
A tail picture:
We did see a whale waving its pectoral fin:
We saw a baby whale. It was so cute!
I tried taking a picture of Lahaina as we left. I ended up getting a fun pair of pictures:
Mike, Sandra, and my mom left at 9:30 last night. There was supposed to be a blizzard in Nebraska Friday and yesterday. Thankfully, it didn’t happen. Their ride should be a lot safer.
What wonderful whale watching with wholesome weekenders! We wish we would watermelon waffle walk while whistling wizards…. yeah, that w thing is getting out of hand.
I am so glad that there are people who enjoy ocean stuff. That is all I can say. 😀
