Beforehand Birthday

I joined Steven and Chloe for happy hour yesterday. We were at their favorite place. Unfortunately, I had just had a really gross chicken sandwich from KFC, so my stomach wasn’t feeling very good. I just had a drink while they ate their delicious, delicious food.

After a while, I thought maybe I’d like something sweet. I ordered some creme brulee. The bartender said: “For your birthday? It’s for your birthday, right?” I said: “Yes!” It WAS for my birthday. February 8 is only about a week away. Yay! He actually comped it. Nice!

They even sang for me :)

They even sang for me 🙂

While we sat and chatted, we overheard the bartender say the place was closing. Thursday is the last day. Dang. I gave him a big tip.

Awwww…. Hooray for you, but *sniff* for Steven and Chloe. I’m sorry that their favorite place is closing. They seem like good people at that restaurant.

I’ve never had creme brulee. I’m guessing it’s good, since so many people like it. Plus, yours involved fire in two ways!

Is that CHOCOLATE creme brûlée? You don’t find that too often. The only place I know here who serves it here is Bonefish….and only in the winter. Yummy!! But I’m jealous because I want that brûlée & today is my b-day and I’m ice in. A day off work….Yay!! But stuck at home.

Shoot! Every year I remember that your birthday is coming, then on the actual day, I forget to write it. Happy Birthday, Peggy! Yay! I’m glad you get to celebrate with a day off. Watch some TV, take a nap, eat some junk…. mmmmm….

You’re right. It was chocolate. The place we were at has AWESOME food. I have loved everything I’ve eaten there. I don’t know why they are closing.
