Home Again

The trip to Keanae is over and I’m home again. I’m at my delightfully dry apartment. Camping is normally kind of uncomfortable, but the constant rain was just so damp. It was cool outside my apartment last night, but I left my air conditioner running just to make the air extra dry.

But in spite of all the rain at camp, the kids were great. They didn’t complain, they stayed happy, and they treated each other with kindness. It was great.

They spent a lot of time in the gym:

We did get to do the shirt-decorating activity. They were so creative. I should remember to get more sparkly paint next year. They liked the sparkly paint.

As a bonus, the heavy rain gave us a show – the cliffs that we can see from the campground had several rainwater runoff waterfalls. They were powerful and terrifying.

It did stop raining just in time for us to leave.
