I don’t read nearly as much as I should or want to. Electronic lures are too compelling. I get out my phone, I go on the computer, I watch TV.
But lately, I’ve been reading a little more. I took a book along on the band trip, and I actually read it. I’ve also had a couple of times at home where I actually turned things off and read. Yesterday morning was one of those times, and I finished the book I was reading.
I’ve been re-reading the Wrinkle in Time books. I only sort of remember them. I just finished the fourth book. It is my favorite so far. I don’t remember the fifth book at all, so I’m curious to start it.
Good for you! I’ve never read the last one, and have forgotten most of the first four, so you are very inspiring.
I have a book of Orson Scott Card short stories that I’m trying to read, but like you, the siren call of the screens is strong. Plus, I usually only read when I’m drying my hair, and it takes forever to get through a story four minutes at a time.
