Bean Protein

My trainer said I should be eating more protein, and I’ve been trying, but it seems I don’t like it very much. It’s not hard to order something with meat at a restaurant, but when I’m at home, I’m just not doing it.

But I found something! Costco sells a giant bag full of smaller bags full of edamame. I love edamame! And soybeans have protein in them. Nice! I microwave the bag for four minutes, sprinkle with salt, and it’s ready to eat.

So glad to know SOMEbody enjoys eating those gosh-awful things…and that this addresses your protein deficiency well when dining at home. [I’d prefer just dining out all the time myself, but that’s just me.]

I love them. I throw the cooked shelled ones into salads, soups, mixed veggies and stir fry. I like to snack on the ones in the pods. I’ve tried growing them, but the birds like the seedlings so much, they never got to mature. Maybe I’ll try them again this year.
