The student desks in my classroom don’t all have the same color top. It bothers me a little. I have six desks with lighter tops. On Monday mornings, the desks are all pushed to the side of the room where we left them on Friday. That means I can arrange them any way I like. I often put the lighter desks in a pattern. Yesterday, I put them in the second position in each row. Plus the one extra one. Ugh. I wish there were only five. Or four. Six? What kind of symmetry can I get with that?
Huh. If you had 20 desks, they could be the first and last desk in the far right, middle and far left desks, but only having 19 kinda messes that up, too. Dang it, you need some contact paper or permanent markers.

Put all 6 in the middle and slide 2 of the front desks to the right.
Or…slide 2 front desks to the right. Put light desks in the 2 and 4 spots in the back row. Put 2 light desks in the 2 and 3 spots in the side columns.
I love arranging desks. By the way, I have a banana tree coming up!
