The Latest Lock

I have been meaning to change the locks on my condo since I moved in. You’re supposed to do that when you buy a new place.

I decided to get a lock that has a keypad – partly because I have house guests coming while I’m in Nebraksa, and partly because I’ve always wanted one.

It was a little more complicated to install than a regular deadbolt, but honestly not that bad. While I was installing the deadbolt, I fixed the door latch. It wasn’t catching in the latchplate, so the door didn’t stay closed unless it was locked. I moved the latch plate down a little, and the door stayed closed as punch. Wait… that’s not an expression…

Anyway, it felt good to get a couple of small things done. Progress on my “things to do to the condo” list has been exceedingly slow.
