I was going to post about working on my bathroom, but I didn’t actually get to finish my bathroom work. There was a brush fire here yesterday. It was pretty close to my apartment. I went out to get some shims for my bathroom project, and the fire from the smoke was quite prominent.
The smoke was blowing directly over Kihei (and over my condo). It made the sun look weird.
Eventually the fire got so big and so close, we were told to evacuate. It was pretty smoky at my condo complex by then.
Gus and I went to stay with a friend in south Kihei for a while. Around 10pm, evacuees were allowed to go back home. Gus was glad to be home.
Holy smokes! Glad you and slim are ok! Cool photos tho… fire and smoke make for some interesting subjects! Breath easy?…. last thing you needed after your lung stress.
