Ground Peanuts

My trainer has made some suggestions for adding more protein to my diet. One of those suggestions was peanut butter. But not just any peanut butter – she suggested I get some no-sugar-added peanut butter. I don’t remember ever trying that, so I got a jar.

It was really hard to stir at first. There was a lot of oil on top, and the stuff on bottom was really thick and unmoving. Once it’s stirred though, stirring it again is much easier.

And the taste? Well, by itself, I don’t like it very much. It tastes bland. But I’ve been using it for

Dang it, I knew the rapture was going to happen and that I wasn’t going to make the cut.

Were you not swooped up to heaven, I would have said that a long time ago I read a book about a poor young girl who overcame adversity, and one of the narratives that stood out to me was the description of stirring the peanut butter. I wonder what the name of that book is….

Ha! I haven’t been raptured…. or taken out by the peanut butter mafia. I’m just not used to my new blogging software. I did actually write a complete post. I don’t know why it didn’t all go up.

…I’ve been using it for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. When the bland peanut butter combines with the sugary jelly, it tastes really good. For PB&J, I think I would actually choose this kind of peanut butter over the regular kind. I mean, maybe adding the sugary jelly defeats the purpose of no-sugar-added peanut butter, but at least I’m cutting out a little sugar from the peanut butter, right?

Hey, now you can have more jelly, to make up for the bland, good for you peanut butter!
