A Sleepy, Shattery Saturday

Usually on Saturdays, I run errands. It means driving around a lot. I enjoy it. I’m often searching for something, and need to go to different stores.

Yesterday I didn’t do that. I exercised in the morning because one of my usual days, Wednesday, was my trainer’s birthday. After I finished, she told me to go back to bed. I did it. I often do what she says. I slept for three more hours! Sheesh!

The rest of the day was pretty restful. I did do a little laundry and I washed some dishes. A sad thing happened with the dishes though. Two of my super-cool rubber coated glasses fell of the shelf and broke. At least I still have seven more, but they were an orange one and a pink one. I like those colors…

There were tiny splinters of glass all over the place.

Awe, that’s terrible about your cups. I love those too! I’ve broken a couple of glass things in the last few weeks….. what a pain to clean up! Made me clean my kitchen floor tho so i guess was meant to be?

Debbie’s right – that is terrible. I am so sorry! Breaking glass is awful, but especially since they were your favorites. Dang it.

I’m glad about the sleep suggestion. Your trainer seems like a very wise person!

WOW! My Mom had rubber-coated 8-oz glasses for drinking when I was growing up! Heaven only knows where those are now; I know I don’t have them. I DO have an incomplete set of 8 numbered circus carousel glasses, though. As cool as they are, I never use them for fear of it then becoming a 6-piece set (currently a 7-piecer). Wonder if they are worth anything even as incomplete? Off to Antiques Roadshow!
