Quick Stop in LA

I seem to always be shopping when I’m in LA. Yesterday, I went with Denis to get some host and hostess gifts for the people who are hosting us and showing us around when we are in the Philippines.

One of the other things we shopped for was plant pots. I LOVE shopping for pots. I had a HUGE collection of them in Baltimore. I’m trying to restrain myself in Maui, but one can only control such impulses so much…

Anyway, Denis wanted to re-pot some plants, and asked if I could help. Get my hands dirty with potting mix? Yes! Yes, I would!

The garden center was full of reminders of Autumn. On top of that, it was a cool day. I almost needed a jacket! Dang, I miss Autumn…

Spring flowering bulbs! You cant plant those in Maui. No winter means so spring bulbs.

Our flight for the Philippines leaves at midnight (LA time). Fourteen hours to Taipei, and three hours to Cebu. Whew! We’ve loaded up on snacks, and my phone is fully charged. Off we go!

I hope to have wifi each night I’m there. Hopefully my daily post streak will remain unbroken. I think I might have iMessage too… that’s just wifi, right?

Flight info follows. Sorry for the weird double spacing. The new post-writing interface doesn’t let me do single spacing. Grrr….

Ok, you are in the air now, and will be for…. the rest of today. My prayers are that you have a smooth flight, get some rest, and that it seems to go quickly!

You guys have a great adventure ahead of you!

I’m in Taiwan! There’s free WiFi in the airport. This airport is so strange! It’s full of Taiwanese people!

The flight was good. We paid for premium economy. It was so posh! Food and drink for no extra cost. Little wipes for our hands. Slippers. And the seats were so comfortable.

    Now on to Cebu…
