Tiny Jumper

Years ago for Christmas Denis gave me a battery you can jump-start your car with. I’ve only ever used it when the power went out – as a flashlight, and to charge my phone.

Then yesterday morning, my truck wouldn’t start. Boy was I glad to have that battery jumper thing!

Something is wrong with my battery, and it’s not charging. My truck runs fine when it’s started, but I had to use that battery again when I left school at the end of the day. I need to get that fixed…

Well, ‘yay!’ for the battery charger working, but ‘booooo’ to your truck for not doing its job. I hope that it is an easy fix and doesn’t take too long. Denis is the hero of this story! I’m so impressed that you had it charged up, too.

The biggest deal is that you remembered you had it to use it! I usually forget about things i have that could have helped or made something easier until the situation is over? Good for you! I have to hook up the mower to a battery charger to start it every time i mow so I feel ya….. and we’ve had it serviced, worked for a while….hhmm i should have taken auto mechanics in highschool instead of French?? Oui? That’s all i know….. but very affluent in French fries….

It appears that part of the problem — perhaps the entirety of the problem — lies in the fact that your truck is expending massive amounts of its battery charge on that monstrous light in the front!! Plead with it to tone down Project License Plate Illumination, and all should be well in the world. Maybe it’s afraid of the dark?

Seriously, though, I agree with Debbie — it is quite impressive that you had the charger maintained well enough for it to start the truck. Lithium batteries do hold their charge for long periods of time, but still, it requires at least SOME effort! 🙂
