Dresser Drawers

I did a lot of laundry yesterday. For a long time now, I’ve just been storing my clothes on the beds of my guest bedroom. Yesterday I wanted to fix that. I cleaned out my dresser, and started from empty.

The top drawer is underwear, socks, and things. The second drawers is collared shirts (which I wear to school). The third drawer is shorts (which I also wear to school). The fourth drawer is non-collared shirts (which I wear on weekends).

I think it will be an efficient system. …until I start storing clothes on the guest beds again…

Wow! I am impressed! For many reasons – you put all your laundry away (that is the step that always trips me up), you organized it in a way that would make the Marie Kondo crowd proud, AND all your regular clothes will fit in one dresser, which would please the minimalists. Well done!

Now, if you’d like some picture labels for those drawers, preschool me could totally help you out.

I noticed there was no mention of long pants. You never need to wear them now? Or do you just opt for going pantsless instead?

      Hehe… Maui is informal, but I don’t think it’s “pantsless informal”…
I have two pairs of pants. I wear them to church, along with an aloha shirt (a Hawaiian print shirt). They all hang in the closet.

What was in your dresser before? And i’m puzzled at the collard shirts in a drawer and not hung in the closet? If you hung them you would have an extra drawer…. for hats! Or a pet Guinea pig! (Hamster too small, would be taking drawer tours) i just put clothes away yesterday that have been in a basket in the green room for 2 days… the laundry game!

Before, my dresser had an odd assortment of clothing I don’t wear very often… long sleeve shirts, jeans, tshirts with designs on them… Now they’re all in a box in the closet.

The shirts with a collar that I put in my dresser are all polo shirts. They’re easier to fold than to hang.
