Teethwork

I had a dentist appointment yesterday. I’m trying to use up all my HSA money before the end of the year. I have a LONG way to go. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Yestrerday’s appointment was a Deep Cleaning – they numb your mouth and then really scrape your teeth, even below the gum line. The hygienist told me I bled a lot.

My dentist has started using a new piece of equipment since my visit a year ago – safety glasses. I guess they’re supposed to keep all the splattering blood from getting in your eyes. Plus, they’re tinted, so if the work light shines in your eyes it’s not as bad.

They only did the left side. They’ll do the right side next week. My mouth was pretty sore afterward, so I decided to eat only soft foods. I had macaroni and cheese, and cranberry sauce from a can. Mmm… they were good…

Zoinks! This is not making me want to have a dentist appointment. Glasses for the blood?

Your dinner arrangement is very artistic. I feel like it could be in a gallery. So zen…..

Doesn’t your Hsa money roll over from year to year? Otherwise my go to for spending that kind on money was always new glasses.

I agree with Karla. HSA money stays with you. You don’t lose it at the end of the year. If you have an FSA, that needs to be spent. At least as far as I know.

But it’s always good to get your teeth cleaned.

Thanks Deborah. I couldn’t think of FSA but that was what I was thinking of

My HSA only partially rolls over. I was going to do crowns this year, but time got away from me, and now it’s too late. I have about $1000 I have to spend, or I lose it. Ack!

You could try to beat the old man rush, have a fall, and break a bone – I wager that would chew through your $1K in short order.

    Bad idea?

    Well, I tried.

I use our hsa card for over the counter medicines…nyquil, zantac type stuff, maybe you could stock up on things like that?
