Happy Birthday to Lloyd! Yay! He’s the other cookie in the “Oreo” that is Laruen, my mom, and Lloyd.
But I’m not talking about Oreos in this post. I’m talking about fruitcake!
Last night at our Advent service supper, someone brought fruitcake. It’s been a long time since I tasted some, so I was excited to get a piece. I made sure to get a piece that had a green fruit thingy on it, because… green? Awesome!
It wasn’t bad. Nutty, spicy, sweet. I don’t think it would be my first choice of dessert, but I don’t think it was as horrible as all the jokes make it out to be.
Hmm, fruit cake…i love all the color but i don’t think i like it. Would have to taste again… i’m sure it’s been several years.
