Abandoned Adornment

When Lauren was here, she told me about a Facebook friend who made a post about abandoned black hair ties. The post kind of took off, and other people started adding pictures of hair ties they saw.

We saw a couple hair ties while Lauren was here, and took pictures so she could put them on her friend’s post.

Now I think I will be seeing them everywhere, like on our playground at school:

In other news, I’ll be going on my annual trip to Kaenae with the fifth graders. The phone signal there is really weak. I will try to post, but I probably won’t be able to do any pictures for the next couple of days.

While I would love to take credit for the hilariousness, it was actually Beth’s friend. However, I would like to think that her inspiration has kindled a new superpower within us all – we see them everywhere now!

Have fun camping! Your mom is going along, yes? I hope you have some good adventures to share with us when you return! 🙂

Hair ties, yes, those are a popular item on the ground. Ha i must say I’ve never had one just fly off my head? How do they get on the ground? it’s funny what you notice that you’ve never noticed and then there’s a million of it everywhere all the time! Mark and i counted the plastic grocery bags along side the road and in the trees on our way to Florida once…i know we had way over 100. Sad actually that we saw so many but was a fun different game. I’m sure you won’t be able to play this game where you are.
