Relaxing Repast

After the camping experience, my mom and I decided to treat ourselves to a dinner out. We went to a new restaurant that opened in an old place I used to like to go to.

The new place is great! They had wonderful cocktails. I got a bourbon drink, and my mom got a “chocolate covered strawberry creme brulee”. Both were delicious.

For dinner, I had a steak. Oh. My. Gosh. It was delicious! I was making noises the whole time I was eating it. I was so full from our drinks and delicious brussels sprouts appetizer and bread…. I couldn’t quite finish the steak. It was amazing though. Usually when I order medium rare, it’s more medium than rare. This time, it was more rare. Awesome!

Afterward, we relaxed on the couch, and I went to bed early. And I wasn’t responsible for any kids. It was awesome.

Ahhhhhhh…… what a great way to end Friday and a camping adventure!

Is that a tiny clothespin holding your orange to the glass?

A well deserved upscale treat! Lovely drink shot, they look yummy. I see a tiny clothespin! I have some of those and really use them… not for clothes…. so cute! Glad you’re back home. Good for you to go on adventures with your kids!

Best part of this whole post wasn’t about the food or the beverages – but the joy of being kid-less for a moment. Only parents and teachers can experience this feeling. Good for you. (And those victuals and potables looked wonderful!)
