I played for church yesterday. There were no really hard hymns or service musics, but I did have a little bit of pressure, because the president of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod was there.
He and his wife are vacationing on Maui. He and Pastor Mark went to seminary together.
My playing went mostly well. A few mistakes, but I just pretend like they’re extra harmony notes 🙂
Holy cats! No pressure. No pressure, indeed! I’m sure it was delightful. How did they do with the Hawaiian benediction, I wonder? 😉
So you’re taking pictures during church and your worried about the piano playing? I suppose you could say you’re gathering images for the directory? Hey, extra harmony notes are awesome, that’s called “expression”! I admire you for playing for church without famous people there!
